Where are you?
We have 2 sites. 55 Lawrie Rd, Snells Beach, is our main drop off yard, re-use shop, on-site composting operation, and Learning Hub. 47 Station Rd, Wellsford, is a re-use shop and drop off point for selected hard-to-recycle items. More information here .
When are you open?
55 Lawrie Rd is open Wednesdays - Saturdays 9am - 3pm.
47 Station Rd is open Tuesdays 9am - 3pm, and Saturdays 9am - 1pm.

How do I get to the shop at 55 Lawrie Rd?
Please enter via the main gate, drive slowly through the yard, and up to the shop. For safety reasons our site is one way and it is not safe to enter at the second gate, as you'll meet traffic coming the other way!
Where do I bring my donations?
At 55 Lawrie Rd, stop at the pay station and let the team know what you have to donate, and they will let you know where to leave your items. Sometimes the shop is too full to receive donations directly, so we store them in the yard until there is space, so to save going backwards and forwards, always check in with us first. Please have your donations in bags or boxes (not loose!), and in good, clean, working order. If you're unsure if you can donate something, give us a call on 09 945 3980 or fill out the online enquiry form and add pictures. Please note that we are legally required to tag and test all electronic items to ensure their safety, so these have a small charge associated with dropping them off to cover costs.
At 47 Station Rd, pop in and have a chat to the shop staff - someone can come out to your car to check out your re-use and let you know where to bring it.

Where does the money from your shop go?
We are a not-for-profit community enterprise, meaning there are no private or individual shareholders who get big payouts! Any profit we make goes straight back into the business to cover maintenance, repairs and upkeep, and to enable us to support community groups and initiatives like beach clean ups, local animal sanctuaries, and zero waste focused education.
We're a community group looking for support - who
can we speak with?
Send us a message through our online enquiry form letting us know who you are, and what kind of support you're looking for. The more detail the better! Initiatives we've supported in the past include providing bins and disposal for waste from beach clean-ups, resources for the Highfield Donkey Park and The Animal Sanctuary, bedding and pet supplies to Long Acres Animal Sanctuary, and loaning of shop items to local schools for school productions.

How much does it cost to drop off...
Our pricelist is a great resource to help you have an idea of how much your load will cost to drop off. Please note that recyclables need to be clean (and in some cases like Tetra Pak properly prepared), in order to be accepted. We recommend loading your boot or trailer in a way that each material is pre-sorted so that we can accurately and fairly price your load - recycling rates are cheaper than general waste, and if you presort, you'll have a quick and easy experience in the yard. As always, if you're unsure, just ask! We're super happy to help.
Do you collect?
We sure do! Our box truck is designed for larger loads (think of garage clear outs, or shifting 4 cubic metres + of material), and comes with 2 staff to load it up. If you just have one item like a fridge or a couch, we recommend seeing if you can hire a van or trailer to bring it in yourself, as this is often cheaper! We're working on acquiring a smaller company vehicle for pick-ups like these. Check out our collections page for more information, and to fill out the enquiry form.
How can I contact the shop?
We're a small business and a small team! It's one phone number for the whole operation, you can leave a message with us and we'll make sure it gets to the right person. Alternately, you can fill out the enquiry form, or message us through Facebook or Instagram. Please note that our socials are managed from offsite, if no price or availability is in a post then you're best to just head on in to the shop straight away, as by the time our socials person asks the shop team and gets back to you, the item has probably already sold! We don't do holds or dibs, it's first in first served. You can also checkout our Trademe listings where we post some of the more rare and collectible items we receive - search from the member mahuwastebuster to see our listings.
